Hohen-Sülzen is located in the Eisbachtal. The low mountain stream rises from the Donnersberg massif and has a significant climatic influence on the valley. The amplitude between day and night temperatures is larger in Hohen-Sülzen

than in the other districts. This means the wines retain their freshness, elegance and excitement. The vines grow around the church on pure limestone with a generous layer of loess and are characterized by their ripe fruit, fine spice and delicate acidity.

The grapes for this wine were selectively harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously and aged in French barriques for 18 months.

With its dark ruby red color, the Hohen-Sülzener Pinot Noir's scent is reminiscent of dark berries such as blackberries and elderberry. The subtle use of wood complements the fruit with spicy notes that are underlined by mild spices such as allspice and cloves. On the palate it is delicate and elegant with generous, dark fruit

and youthfully polished tannin. With transparent vibration and slightly saline minerality, it flows fruitily into a spicy, cool finish.
