The vineyards in the Leinele area extend at an altitude of 320 - 350 m above sea level on the steep slopes of the Schönberg, facing south. The shallowness of the soil, with less loess but a higher stone content (shell limestone), means that a full autumn is not expected in most years. The lower grape yield in combination with the presence of old vines always has a positive effect on the quality of the grapes. In every vintage, the wines from the Leinele vineyard captivate in their own special way. Ripe fruit, animating tannins, excellent complexity and yet finely structured body.
