The stony and calcareous clay soil of the Les Cras plot is the mineral-rich nucleus of this great Burgundy and forms the basis of its complexity. The yield of this Premier Cru was only 49hl/ha. Fermentation took place in large wooden barrels. The wine then matured for 16 months in barriques from Cîteaux. Before bottling, the wine was placed in stainless steel tanks for a month to harmonize before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Very fine nose of dark-fleshed fruits such as black cherries, sour cherries and blackberries. The fruit aromas are complemented by dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla. In the mouth, taut with plenty of body and extract, rounded off by harmonious, silky tannins that are perfectly integrated. Further aromas of spices, morels and somewhat wild notes appear later. A very harmonious wine with a great future!
