A very welcoming Nuits-Saint-Georges. The grapes are carefully picked by hand and subjected to a week-long cold maceration with spontaneous fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak for around 24 months before being bottled without filtering. A warm, almost creamy nose: strawberry candy and ripe morello cherries to start. Then roasted aromas and marzipan are added. Also on the palate there is a lot of ripe fruit typical of the vintage, a nice creaminess. But you shouldn't be deceived by the first impression: the fine-grained tannins still have a real bite and are not at all crumbly, but very finely woven. Pickled plums, white pepper and ammonia on the second sip, with an underlying salty minerality that underlines everything.
