The 2021 vintage, like the previous one, was not as dry as the years before. The frosts in spring had to be survived, then a favorable growth cycle in summer and autumn followed for the team around Jacqueline André. The result is once again a great Rhône wine and we are glad that the well-known wine critics have not yet discovered this gem. On the nose, complex aromas of dark berries, spices, herbs and a hint of licorice. On the palate, the wine is smooth and powerful with ripe tannins and a lively acidity. The taste is dominated by notes of black cherries, plums, cinnamon and a hint of leather. The finish is long-lasting and spicy. An elegant and balanced red wine that can be enjoyed now, but will only reveal its full potential after aging for at least five years.
