In 1757, the priest Gruaud bought three small neighboring plots of land on the high plateau of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle and combined them to form Château Gruaud. After renaming, division and reunification, the Château is now one of the most important wineries in France.

The wines of Château Gruaud-Larose are full-bodied and lively and achieve a beautiful harmony with age.
