After Arnaud Ducasse acquired what is now Château Grand-Puy Ducasse in 1675, Pierre Ducasse, a wine-loving lawyer, purchased vineyards in three parishes—Pauillac, Saint-Lambert, and Saint-Sauveur—as well as three manors: Lafite, Latour, and Beychevelle. The 40-hectare château thus represents the diverse terroir of Pauillac.

2020 is one of the great vintages in Bordeaux: sunny, rich, spicy, creamy, but also taut and fresh.
