This wine impressively demonstrates the extraordinary importance of the location of the Los Vascos winery. Due to its position in the cool part of the Valle de Colchagua, it experiences a noticeable influence of the Pacific, which enables the production of juicy, fresh wines. The Chagual develops aromas of strawberries, blueberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by an intensely spicy accent. The fruitiness of this wine harmonizes perfectly with the invigorating freshness of its acidity.
The first organic wines from Los Vascos are named after the Chagual, an endemic plant species from the coastal region of Chile. The vineyards and surrounding community around Perallilo are closely linked, much like the chagual and its butterfly, which depend on each other to thrive
survive. This idea of interrelationships between species, first discovered by Alexander von Humboldt, is at the heart of Los Vascos' winery philosophy: everything is carefully thought out to minimize the impact on the ecosystem, maintain its balance and sustain life itself
