The name says it all, KAIKEN Ultra is anything but ordinary. The single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Vistalba in Luján de Cuyo. Actually a Malbec stronghold, but Cabernet also loves the cool, sunny location at 1050 m. The grapes are picked by hand, strictly sorted and only the best are fermented in concrete tanks. 45 percent of the wines mature for twelve months in French oak (a third new barrels). Then all batches are blended back to the Ultra Final Blend, bottled and stored in the bottle for a further six months before the Cabernet is released for consumption. Garnet red with an intense bouquet of dark fruit, pepper and delicate oak spice. Clearly structured on the palate, very long, smooth and full-bodied with rich fruit, ripe tannin and gentle freshness.
