The Champagne Non Dose is made from the same grape varieties as the Brut Royale, also with a proportion of around 30% reserve wines from older vintages. The essential difference, however, is that the Non Dosé is only topped up with a little wine after being separated from the yeast, without the usual addition of the "Liqueur d'Expedition", i.e. it is sold without any residual sugar (without dosage). This type of champagne often tends to be excessively steely and barren, but Philipponnat's NonDosé remains wonderfully fruity and velvety. An ideal aperitif or accompaniment to poultry or fine veal dishes. Color: Golden yellow with amber reflections. Fragrance: Linden blossoms, fine roasted and citrus aromas. Taste: pleasantly dry, firm, creamy and round, with nut and honey in the finale.
