Champagne Lucie is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, with significantly more Pinot, as is traditional on the Côte des Bar. A remarkably high proportion of reserve wines from older vintages lends the blend additional depth. Straw yellow with golden reflections in the glass. Initially, the nose reveals distinct red fruit, followed by white blossoms, a touch of brioche, and apricots. A delicate, creamy perlage, beautifully full-bodied, with light iodine notes of Kimmeridge limestone on the finish.
