The PNTX20 edition is an outstanding symbol of
Bollinger's vision. The name is derived from "PN" for Pinot Noir,
"TX" for the Tauxières terroir, and "20" for the base year, 2020.
This cuvée is not a vintage champagne in the
classic sense, but a blend:
This champagne combines wines from the 2020 harvest (48%) with
an exceptionally high proportion of aged reserve wines (52%).
The latter come from the 2019 vintage, which was aged in oak barrels,
as well as from the 2008 and 2012 vintages – aged in Bollinger's legendary magnum bottles.
This unique composition lends the champagne remarkable complexity, depth, and structure.
Tauxières, a Premier Cru in the Montagne de Reims with an outstanding reputation, supplies Pinot Noir grapes characterized by freshness, precision, and complex aromas.
The blend is complemented by wines from other renowned Crus such as Aÿ and Avenay, which lend the wine additional complexity.
