VERMENTINO is the grape of our region, the region around Lucca up to Liguria. And so our fruity-fresh white wine GIOIA is made from 100% Vermentino grapes. Our vineyard with around 3000 vines is in a sheltered location very close to the winery. Its southern orientation and proximity to the sea (about 20 kilometers from the seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi) and thus its special microclimate guarantee a very special aroma. The reduction of the grapes on the vine, the careful harvesting by hand, the procedure naturally corresponds to that of our red wine. The fermentation also takes place using high technology: computer-controlled stainless steel tanks regulate the temperature to 15-16°C over the course of the 15- to 20-day fermentation. A balanced, fruity, light mineral taste characterizes the white wine GIOIA. The bouquet is dry and characterized by a pleasant degree of acidity. The Italian GIOIA means joy: we produce this wine with great joy and it is an even greater GIOIA to enjoy it!
