The grape variety Pecorino is mainly cultivated in central Italy in the growing regions of Marche and Abruzzo along the eastern Adriatic coast as well as in Umbria and Latium. Across Italy, the area under vines had shrunk to a manageable 213 hectares. With the growing popularity of regional, autochthonous varieties, it is now being planted more frequently again. Distinctive scent of dried apple, flowers and a hint of herbal liqueur. Nice and spicy in the mouth as well, while being juicy with fresh, citrusy acidity.
