Vineyard: The legendary Bernkasteler Doctor rises with its steep slope directly above Bernkastel at a height of 125 meters to 200 meters above sea level. According to legend, it got its name from Archbishop Boemund II, who, having healed from a serious illness, described this situation as the "true Doctor". Internationally, Doctor wines are always at the very top. With 3.26 ha one of the smallest individual vineyards in Germany. Terroir: Weathered Devonian shale soil.
