Vineyard: The Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland is next to the Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg as the best location of the Rüdesheimer Berg and is located west of the outskirts of Rüdesheim. The location name comes from the Middle High German "rotten" and stands for clearing in the 11th century. The 34 hectares have a south and south-east orientation with a slope of about 30%. Just like on the Schlossberg, the Riesling here is very minerally characterized, but a bit fruity, has more melting and is present earlier than that of the Schlossberg.

Terroir: Heavily weathered, deep Taunus quartzite with a loess veil and good water retention capacity.
