The name of the wine comes from Frédéric Emile Trimbach, who presented his wines at the International Fair in Brussels in 1898 and received the highest awards for them. Grown on top locations, the fully ripe grapes can be found again; an elegant Riesling, expressive, but slim with fine minerality. The wine actually grew on Grand Cru sites, but the name was not given because the name "Frédéric Emile" is too traditional.
